I open the can with my finger and a chip of turquoise nail polish breaks off my bitten nail and lands on my floral dress, Disappearing into the viscose-fabric-peonies, printed by a Vietnamese girl Who will never see a blooming field. I’m in the living room, Where buildings and streets patch-work on the pale wall, camouflaging in shades of white And glass-tint, but no wind comes in from the 2D city outside the window. Today it’s so hot it feels like Autumn never happened. What a sad world, what a no-pumpkins, no-Halloween, no-pumpkin-pie world. I’m in the living room. I type “autumn” on my phone and the brown leaf emoji pops up on the keyboard. It’s Wednesday again and the sun is out as usual. I remember pumpkins and leaves, and flowers and trees cause my father used to carve wood. But now he works at Ikea in the big 6-minutes-walk milky building and trees went extinct, and Flowers too. What’s left are the glossy cadaveric-white Ikea wood furnitures and me and my father toys carved out of Ikea souvenirs.
